Do you offer any vegan cookies?No, unfortunately we do not have a vegan recipe at this time.

Are there any dairy-free options at Capital City Cookies?Our cookies are not dairy and/or egg free. Each of our cookies are made with the finest quality ingredients available including eggs and sweet butter.

Are any of your cookies gluten-free?We do not offer Gluten Free Cookies at this time. We do not have a certified gluten free kitchen and, therefore, cannot guarantee the safety for those with celiac disease.

How do I order cookies?You can, of course, order online. We offer a variety of predesigned cookie platters and prepackaged gifts that are sure to brighten up any occasion. For custom cookie orders, you can begin the process by filling out and submitting our Order form. Once your order form is received, we will reach out to you within 1 business day to discuss the specifics for your individual order (flavor, design, delivery…), as well as your time line.

What is the shelf life of your sugar cookies?Although we have personally tested cookies for longer periods, we advise our customers that their custom sugar cookies typically have a shelf life of 2 to 3 weeks when left in their original packaging and kept in a dry location at room temperature. In addition, you can freeze your cookies for up to 3 months if you are not planning to serve them right away.

I already placed my order. Can I change part of it, such as the delivery date, delivery address, designs or flavors?Delivery dates and addresses can be changed prior to your cookies leaving the cookie kitchen. However, once the order is in the production stage, we are typically unable to make any changes to the order. After your order has entered the production stage, you can call us at 402-613-9161 Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm CST to see if updates or changes can be accommodated.

Is there an order minimum?There is no minimum order amount for our prepackaged gifts, including the Paint Your Own Cookie set, Mini’s and the predesigned cookie platters. For all custom cookie orders, we have an order minimum of 12 cookies. For every 12 custom cookies ordered, you will receive 1 flavor profile of your choice and up to 3 different designs.

Can Capital City Cookies use a photograph or a corporate logo within the design?We sure can! With your minimum order of 12 cookies, you can choose to use photos, graphics or corporate logos as part of your design element. We use only food-safe edible ink and print directly onto the cookie. We do not use sugar films in our printing process. During the ordering process, you can either upload your photo or logo or choose to email it to us at support@capitalcitycookies.com (resolution of 300 dpi or higher).

You can mix and match cookie flavors with icing flavors to create a truly unique and customized experience! We love to offer our customers the ability to personalize their sugar cookies to their liking!

How much does it cost to have my cookies mailed?We use USPS Ground Advantage for all of our shipping needs and charge a flat rate of $15.00 for orders up to 3 dozen cookies. The cookies are typically delivered within 1 to 5 business days, depending on the destination location. For orders over 3 dozen cookies, or if you prefer 2-day or Overnight shipping, we will calculate the shipping costs based on the weight and size of the package, along with the premium shipping method of your choice, and advise you of the shipping cost when you receive your final invoice.

Will I receive an order confirmation?Yes. An order confirmation email will be sent to the purchaser's email as soon as your order is processed. It will include your invoice, order number, order total, shipping information.

Is there sales tax?We do not collect any sales tax on our baked goods.

Do your cookies contain nuts?While we do not physically use nuts during our baking process, we do use extracts and emulsions that contain tree nut oils. Since all of our products are made to order, please advise us during the ordering process of any tree nut allergies. *Please note, our cookies are prepared in a kitchen that is not subject to regulation or inspection by the state regulatory authority and may contain allergens.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged, if I was given the wrong cookies or if I am just not satisfied with what I received?We are confident that you will be thrilled with the taste, freshness, quality, design, and presentation of your custom cookies. If you are not satisfied with your order, it arrives damaged, or is incorrect in any way we will work to resolve this for you. We are available from 9am – 5pm CST Monday through Friday to assist you. Please call us at 402-613-9161 or email us and we will be happy to work with you to correct the issue. Capital City Cookies does not accept returned cookies, under any circumstances, with the exception of an order arriving damaged or incorrect. Refunds and returns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to limit replacements. Customers with any disputes or issues regarding an order must notify us within 24 hours of receiving their package. Customers must also provide photos supporting any disputed cookies or products. We do not refund shipping or rush fees under any circumstance.

Can I cancel my order?Unfortunately, once your order is placed and your payment is received, it cannot be cancelled.

What are the ingredients used by Capital City Cookies?All of our custom sugar cookies are baked using the following ingredients: Cookie Base: Enriched wheat flour, butter [pasteurized cream, natural flavoring], sugar, brown sugar [sugar, molasses], whole eggs, pure and artificial vanilla extract [water, propylene glycol, vanillin, sugar, caramel color.], salt. * Extracts and emulsions are added based on the flavor profile chosen Royal Icing; Confectioner’s sugar [sugar, cornstarch], water, meringue powder [sugar, dextrose, egg whites, corn starch, agar, cream of tartar, salt, artificial flavor]. * Extracts and emulsions are added based on the flavor profile chosen Ink Ingredients: Purified water; ethanol; humectant; glycerin; artificial coloring - may contain one or more of the following: FD&C red 40, FD&C blue 1; FD&C red 3, FD&C yellow 5; emulsifier: polysorbate 80; preservative: methylparaben (0,1%).

How are your cookies made?Regardless if you are choosing to use a printed design or a hand-piped design, all of our cookies begin just as you would prepare them at home. We begin by rolling out your dough and choosing the correct cookie cutters for your order. After the cookies have baked and cooled, we outline the cookies with the Royal Icing flavor of your choice, fill in the entire cookie with a “flood” of the same icing, and then decorate! *Please note, our cookies are prepared in a kitchen that is not subject to regulation or inspection by the state regulatory authority and may contain allergens.

Are all of your cookies made to order, including the Mini’s and the Platters?You bet they are! We do not begin the baking and decorating process until your order and payment have been received. This ensures that you are receiving the freshest product possible.

How far in advance should I place my order?Since all of our cookies are baked and decorated to order, we will need a minimum of 10 to 14 days to prepare your order. We will begin our process as soon as payment is received on your invoice. We highly recommend ordering in advance for the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4th).
